When I turn on my computer, it says "invalid system disk". What do I do?

First, check to be sure there is not a diskette in the floppy drive. If there is, remove it and reboot. If this does not solve the problem, chances are your boot files on your hard disk have become corrupted. If you are an advanced user you can clear the boot sector and re-sys the disk to get the boot files back. If in doubt, bring your computer in for repair.

When I turn on my computer, all it does is make beeps and the monitor doesn't show any video. What do I do?

The beep sequence represents a specific POST error. You may have bad RAM, system board, CPU or peripheral card causing this problem. Bring your computer in for a diagnostic to pinpoint the origination of the error message.

My computer is making a loud clicking noise. What is going on?

A loud clicking noise can represent an eminent hard disk failure. Usually the platters in your drive are failing. Shut down your computer IMMEDIATELY and bring it in for service. Your data must be saved immediately or you could risk losing everything on the drive.
